Why the added sugar? Ripe cantaloupe and orange juice are sweet on their own. Why the added 2 tablespoons of sugar? Part of healthy eating is training our taste buds to enjoy and experience the natural sugars in fruits without adding extra sugars. I encourage you to cut out the added sugars in your recipes.

I haven't made this so shouldn't be commenting I guess, but why all the added sugar? Both OJ and cantaloupe are pretty sweet (I was just eating some at lunch, it was sooo wonderful). I could see a couple tsps. but 2 tbsps? I am a dietitian and not anti-sugar altogether, but it's a good experience to taste the food without added sugar and get used to not having everything sugared-up. Just sayin.'

Why add sugar? Fruit is naturally sweet - refined sugar is what we want to avoid!
